Who make the best Model airplane assembly kits?

I used to make a lot of Model Airplanes when I was a teenager and would like to get back into it, but this time being more anal-retentive. I used to buy Airfix military Aircraft but I found a lot of the plastic was warped. Is there a better company? Thanks.

PS. I want to make aircraft from WW2 period.

I’ve always been partial to the Japanese kits, too. They always seem to be more detailed, and have a better fit than any of the American companies I used to build.

That’s a list of military propeller aircraft that this company had available. Take a look, I’m sure you’ll find something to spark your interest. Don’t be thrown off by them being in Japan. I’ve ordered from them more times than I can remember, and never had any trouble. They also sell at the Japanese retail price, so even with the shipping costs the kits are probably still cheaper than you could find locally.
