The Remote Control Helicopter is a phenomenon that is spreading like bush fire in home based play. There are many reasons for the manufacturing of the helicopters but one which cant go unnoticed is for playing reasons or entertainment.

Many shoppers look for the most elegant of the machines as every one wants to have the most complex and the fastest in the block. Manufactures have adopted native shapes for the machines and military remote control helicopter is  very popular with civilians. Unlike remote controlled plane, helicopters can land anywhere even at places without a runway. They have a capability to make vertical take offs and landing making it ideal for small areas. The size of the machine will definitely matter when space comes into question.

Most of the helicopters are made small for weight reasons and so this will not be much of a hustle when shopping around for one that needs less space. By space we put into consideration even the rotor shape and the size. In fact this is the most important element to consider. Big rotors will give you more power but will need a larger radius to be cleared for it to function correctly.

Some types of remote control helicopter have more than one rotor. The main rotor is above the plane and rotates perpendicular to the plane while the other rotors are at the back of the helicopter and rotate parallel to the plane. Some have twin rotors that are on top of the plane one coming over the other. Whichever way the rotors are place the goal is one, to increase the hovering capabilities of the machine. The small machines have hovering capabilities that will really amaze you. Their aero dynamics are so complex that they outclass the real helicopters when it comes to flight style.

The good thing about the remote control helicopter is that they can be used outdoors or indoors depending on the user. Indoors one are small and are mostly electric powered while the outdoors one are huge and can have a combustion engine instead of an electric rotor. Those designed for outdoor purposes must have a longer reception range as they are expected to utilizes the increased space available outdoor.
